BRENDAN MCKAY
Chief Advocacy Officer & Co-Founder
As Co-Founder and Chief Advocacy Officer of the Broker Action Coalition (BAC), Brendan McKay champions the interests of independent mortgage professionals and their clients on Capitol Hill. He has led multiple advocacy wins including the passage of Trigger Lead legislation, creation of the largest PAC ever formed for mortgage brokers (BACPAC), enactment of expanded Disabled Veterans Tax Exemption laws in several states, and opened broker access to down payment assistance programs nationwide.
In addition to his leadership at the BAC, Brendan owns McKay Mortgage, where he consistently ranks among the Top 50 Mortgage Brokers in the country. With years of firsthand experience helping homebuyers achieve the dream of homeownership, Brendan brings a unique, ground-level understanding of the mortgage process from origination to operations which allows him to effectively bridge the gap between policymakers and the constituents they serve.
