ABOUT BAC
We’ve Got Your BAC
Mission
The Broker Action Coalition (BAC) is the grassroots advocacy channel uniting mortgage brokers and their supporters to fight for broker and homebuyer rights nationwide. The BAC aims to level the playing field between independent mortgage brokers and retail banks, to support inclusive homebuying policy change, and to fight for the needs of Veterans, minorities, and underserved communities to make the American dream of homeownership possible for more people than ever before.
Leadership
Rachel Clark
Executive Director
As Executive Director of the BAC, Rachel Clark brings a deep passion for advocacy and operational excellence to her role. Since the BAC’s founding, Rachel has played a pivotal role in the organization, beginning as a Texas State Captain and Co-Chair of the State Government Affairs Advocacy Council and later stepping into an operations leadership position, where she successfully drove key initiatives behind the scenes.
With more than a decade of experience in the mortgage and real estate industry, Rachel combines a strong understanding of homeowners' needs with a dedication to advancing the broker community's voice at the policy level. Her commitment to service, integrity, and family drives her work, ensuring BAC’s mission to empower brokers is met with impactful action and meaningful results.
When she’s not championing brokers, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and staying engaged with her local community.
Brendan McKay

As Co-Founder and Chief Advocacy Officer of the BAC, Brendan amplifies the needs of wholesale mortgage professionals and their homebuyers to policymakers on Capitol Hill. He has spearheaded a number of advocacy successes, including creating the largest PAC that has ever existed for mortgage brokers, the BACPAC, passing of the Disabled Veterans Tax Exemption in multiple states, granting Brokers access to the Hometown Heroes program in Florida, and much more.
Before founding the BAC, Brendan served as the President of Advocacy for the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME), meeting regularly with members of Congress to advocate for mortgage brokers and homebuyers across the country.
In addition to his advocacy work, Brendan is a top-producing mortgage originator, bringing years of firsthand experience in helping homebuyers achieve their dreams of homeownership. His deep understanding of the mortgage process (from origination to operations) and what matters to consumers helps him bridge the gap when speaking with legislators and regulators.
